Agno Pharma expands API manufacturing capacity through US acquisition

Agno Pharma, a US-based contract development and manufacturing organisation specialising in small-molecule active pharmaceutical ingredients and GMP intermediates, has acquired Actylis Eugene, the legacy Cascade Chemistry business located in Eugene, Oregon, to expand its pharma and life sciences manufacturing platform.

The Eugene site brings more than 20 years of experience in small-molecule API development and manufacturing, supported by a 16,000 sq ft R&D laboratory and a newly constructed 30,000 sq ft GMP manufacturing facility. The site is equipped to support early-phase through late-phase clinical API production and has benefited from significant recent investment under Actylis to upgrade and expand its GMP infrastructure.

Agno Pharma currently serves a global client base of pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, providing critical GMP intermediates and APIs, drug product and drug implant formulation services, and analytical services across the full lifecycle from preclinical development through to commercial supply.

The acquisition significantly expands Agno’s US manufacturing footprint and reinforces its commitment to onshore pharmaceutical manufacturing, at a time when supply chain resilience and domestic production capacity remain priorities for life sciences companies.
